The Longest Day

I can't believe that this day finally made it. The "Just the Card" sessions started at 845 in the morning and didn't end up almost 7 at night. The rain held off for the most part....but the drops that did come down, we worked around them.

We had a bite to eat at Home Slice Pizza during the break. It was raining, so we dawned our hoodies....had a good slice of pizza....and a cold one to drink.

An awning of a restaurant provided nice shelter for one family....and then they were up for playing in the rain. I got soaked, but it was worth it! Another family was totally awesome and we shot their entire session in the parking garage. Their little guy was up for it too.

In the end....we made it work. It was a LOT of work, and I absolutely couldn't have done it without Toni. She was an AMAZING assistant to me.....all day!!! She brought tissues, a squeaky toy for the kids, carried bags, umbrellas, and so much more. She was a lifesaver and it was so great to have her with me today. Thank you Toni!!!

After the sessions downtown, I was a little drenched. This picture was a little reminiscent from when I was in Martha's Vineyard with Shyla last year. :)

After the 11 family shoots, we were hungry!! And we deserved a nice little dinner at Chuy's. Chips, salsa, jalapeno ranch and a marg. Topped off the evening right.

When we got back to Toni's....I was beat!!! My body was wrecked from today. Being on my feet, up and down, and all of that, all day....it's a tough job. BUT....I can't wait to go through all of the pictures!! It was so great!!

I am ready for the last 3 sessions tomorrow.

Night night!
